The MD of Lekki Free Trade Zone Tajudeen Disu was killed on October 12th during a Land protest that escalated into a riot in Okunraiye community near Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
Eyewitnesses say a protest staged by the villagers of the community over what they termed forceful taking over of their land by the Lagos state government for Dangote group, went violent after the deceased invited police officers who shot at them, killing two of the protesters.
The protest became violent, resulting in a gun battle. The deceased was said to have been killed by a stray bullet. The police have taken over the community now and are in search of the killers of Mr Disu.
