Onyebuchi Ezigbo   and Michael Olugbode
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has deplored President Goodluck Jonathan’s remarks against the Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, during his media chat on Monday night, calling it unwarranted, unpresidential and petty.

APC’s position over the president’s comment came just as the former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in his  reaction yesterday accused the federal government of chasing shadows rather than tackling the security menace squarely.

''This might be a little graphic but I just want to let everyone know that I am okay. I am a survivor of domestic violence with a boy I dated for 8 months. I really thought everything was fine but he constantly questioned me about cheating and flirting. Non sense. I never looked at someone the way he looked at me. Thought I loved this boy. How can someone that 'loves' me do this to me? The scars on my chest are way worse and extend down to my right nipple, completely scarred. The skin on my shoulder has been completely skinned. Sometimes, ladies, we just have to face the facts – that we can flirt and smile and bat our eyelashes all we want, but the reality is that sometimes, no matter how perfect and pretty you are (and you totally are!) you might simply not be the girl that your perfect man is looking for.

So what is a girl to do when you realize that the handsome stud of a guy you’ve been drooling over (see: obsessing) for the last six months, who you totallythought was into you, really just…well, wasn’t?

1. Be honest with yourself
Lying to yourself has never gotten anyone anywhere, trust us. It’s better to just accept the plain hard facts and move on. Overthinking it and trying to convince yourself that “maybe, just maybe…” won’t work. Give up the dream, girl.

Senators, Reps Who Dumped PDP for APC Battle To Keep Seats

The 79 legislators, who sued the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and leaders of the National Assembly over threats to declare their seats vacant, justified their decision to defect from the party yesterday.
The lawmakers – 22 PDP Senators and 57 members of the House of Representatives, including those who have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) – argued that Senate President David Mark and House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal could not declare their seats vacant.

They contended before the Federal High Court, Abuja that Mark and Tambuwal cannot rely on the provisions of sections 68(1)(g) and 68(2) of the Constitution in declaring their seats vacant because there is division in the PDP and a faction of the party has merged with other parties.
They argued that the two conditions precedent for lawful defection, as provided in the Constitution – division and merger – had occurred to warrant their defection.
