This sickening and very disturbing incident took place somewhere in Nigeria. Some media moms and I are still investigating where exactly in the country this took place.
The video shows a teenage child minder grabbing a little girl under her care and molesting her sexually. The little victim is estimated to be between 5 and 6 years old.
A neighbour from an upstair room apparently filmed the video, because it begins with someone sliding opening a window to get a better view of the molestation.
In the video, the teenage girl can be seen raising the little girl’s dress, making the little girl straddle her and rubbing her privates against the little girls privates. Then she places the girl on the dirty floor beside a block fence and attempting to put her hands into the little girl’s panties. The teenage girl seems very cautious and keeps peeping at the end of the fence to see if someone is coming.
You can also see in the video that the little girl is very uncomfortable with what the teenage girl is doing to her. Something in her tells her it isn’t right and she stands up from the floor immediately, dusting her hands.My heart broke as I watched this video and I wondered for how long this abuse has been going on.
Yes, it may seem a little inappropriate to publish this video. A media mom who brought this video to my notice deliberated with me for hours if this broke the decency rules. In the end, we concluded that the video did not have any nudity and it was filmed from a distance so it doesn’t expose the identities of the girls.
We decided to take the risk to share this to save a child and to serve as a wake up call to parents to take better steps to protect their children. It’s common to assume that female children are safe with female minders. This video will prove that theory wrong.
We hope the person who filmed this did something to save that child and we are hoping the police and necessary authorities will get to read this story.
