APC will be dealing with Bukola Saraki with a long spoon, PDP will be sleeping with him with one eye open. A man who abandoned you and later betray those he ran to, can't be trusted blindly anymore.
But politically, the intractable crisis that bedeviled the All Progressives Congress, since the election of the principal officers of National Assembly, may have been resolved as the two contestants for the Senate Presidency seat reconciled at the residence of APC Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, on Monday.
Senators Bukola Saraki and Ahmed Lawan finally embraced each other after a peace deal was reached, to end the crisis that had threatened to tear the party apart.
A source told OluFamous.Com that Saraki begged Oyegun to plead with President Buhari to forgive and to also help him talk to the national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to take him as his brother.
Though, no official statement was issued after the meeting, a source who witnessed the reconciliation said both Lawan and Saraki embraced each other and agreed to put their differences behind.
Speaker, House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara and Deputy Speaker, Sulieman Yusuf Lasun were also sighted on their way out of the private residence of the National Chairman.
The source told National Mirror: “I can tell you that the Senate President has resolved his differences with the party. The chairman also met with both Speaker and his deputy and all the parties were beaming with smiles while entering their vehicles.”
In his reaction, Oyegun had said, “We owe it to our party, our teeming members and supporters and indeed all Nigerians who reposed so much confidence in us by voting us into office to quickly put the unfortunate incidents of the recent past behind us and forge ahead.”
