On Monday, the All Progressives Congress have formally accepted their new member, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Yola, capital of Adamawa State.
At the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Abubakar noted once again that he, along with other politicians and lawmakers, joined the APC to bring changes to Nigeria.

"If you see me, Baba Mai Mangoro [Nyako] and other stakeholders, you know change is coming to Nigeria," Mr. Abubakar said in Hausa. The ex-Vice President did not share his politicsl ambition, but said instead we would hear from him should the campaign start.

The APC Interim National Chairman, Bisi Akande and it National Leader, Bola Tinubu, praised Adamawa State residents for their active support for the party. They also urged to participate in the forthcoming party membership registration exercise.
"Everybody must be registered. If you have problem during the exercise, contact your
supervisor," Mr. Akande explained.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, Buba Marwa, and Nuhu Ribadu assured of their commitment to unite as stakeholders in the state in the interest of the APC.
Former Governor of Bayelsa State Timiprye Silva maintained that people in the South-South region of Nigeria are disappointed with the performance of the Peoples Democratic Party, the PDP-led government, and would follow the APC to ensure positive change.
Adamawa Interim Chairman of the APC Kobis Thimnu thanked all those who played a vital role in uniting supporters of the party in the state.
"I call on all our members and supporters to continue to unite and join hands as we pray to God to reward our effort with success," Mr. Thimnu said.
The party's Deputy National Chairman North, Bello Masari, Ogbonnaya Onu, Audu Ogbe, Danjuma Goje, among others, attended the ceremony.
