The deadline for the use of old drivers license by Nigerian motorists is 31st of July 2014.This was disclosed to CKN Nigeria in an exclusive interview today by the Lagos Sector Commander of the Federal Road safety Commission, Chidi Nkwonta in an interview.
Mr Nkwonta who was asked to clarify his earlier statement on the deadline for old Plate numbers saida, both the old car plate numbers and drivers licenses ceases to be valid at the end of July. He disclose that drivers and vehicles with the old plate numbers will be impounded from 1st of August 2014.According to him, the agency have given motorists enough notice on the switch over. According to him, a recent High Court judgement on the issue put a seal to doubts as to whether the agency has the right to effect the ban.
