AT LAST: Prophet Ireti Ajanaku Buried 11 Months After Demise (Viewers Discretion Is Advised)
Prophet Elijah Iretiola Ajanaku, who died 11 months ago on August 22nd 2013, was finally laid to rest on July 17th 2014. The death of late founder and spiritual leader of the Christ Revival Victory Chapel International, Pastor Elijah Iretiola Ajanaku, was surrounded by mystery, vagueness and rumours. But everything has to come to an end sometime.
The funeral rites for the late prophet started at 9.30 am on the 17th of July, 2014. After the church service, guests present and family members proceeded to the late prophet’s house Ikola, Agbado Oke Odo LCDA where the corpse of the prophet was laid to rest. According to E24-7 magazine, popular gospel singers Tope Alabi, Evang. Bola Are, Shola Allyson, amongst others who were always around the late prophet when he was alive, were missing at the burial. Continue to see photographs of the burial (Viewers’ discretion is advised).
It was reported that the late Ajanaku was involved in a messy media war with Tope Alabi shortly before his death last year, where he lashed out the singer for no longer attending his church along with her husband.
It would be recalled that late Prophet Ajanaku’s widow, Joy Ajanaku, and some elders of the church had refused to bury him because they were convinced he will rise again. The late Prophet Ajanaku was born and brought up as a Muslim but converted to Christianity on his arrival in Lagos State. He is survived by a wife, an aged mother and two children, a boy and a girl.
