2015: U.S. Reiterates Support For Credible Elections In Nigeria

The U.S. Department Assistant Secretary, Bureau of African Affairs, Robert Jackson, said U.S. Government would continue to work with stakeholders to ensure the conduct of credible elections in Nigeria.
Jackson said this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Wednesday.

``We are committed to working with the commission, political parties, government, civil society organisations and all the actors involved in election process to assist Nigeria.''
Jackson said the U.S. looked forward to exchanging ideas on issues facing the commission before 2015 general elections.
In his response, the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, commended the support by the U.S. to the commission.
