The Acting Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has ordered full investigation into the death of veteran journalist and Vice chairman of Sun newspaper, Dimgba Igwe.
Mr. Igwe was confirmed dead at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Saturday morning after being knocked down by a hit-and-run driver while jogging at his Okota, Lagos neighbourhood.
The IG gave the order while condoling with the immediate family of the late journalist.
“The Police will leave no stone un-turned in their investigation towards unravelling the circumstances surrounding the late Dimgba’s death,” he said in statement signed by the force spokesperson, Emmanuel Ojukwu.
The police chief said the late journalist will be remembered for his many contributions to nation building.
