Gone are the days when Nigerian women stick to channels on DSTV like Africa Magic, BET, and the rest. The trend changed few years ago when Mexican and Korean series hit the television screen and every woman, young and old look forward to the time the series is aired. Right now the trending series Nigerian women are crazy about is the Indian series on Zee World from love story, family horror story and more. Some women are so addicted to these series such that they get their domestic chores done on time in order to have undivided attention when their favourite episode is on. ýZee World is an Indian/African television channel which launched February 3, 2015. The channel is the first to dub Indian shows to English for its African viewers of South Africa.  The channel is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. THE PROMISE
The Promise is a Hindu Drama TV Series telecast on Zee World . Bani, Pia & Rano are in Lead Role. The Story bothers on the life of three sisters Bani, Pia and Rano who moved from a small town to a Big City, Mumbai. LAALI
Laali is about a very poor teenage girl who lives in a small village in the Indian state of Bihar with her parents, two younger sisters, and a brother. They belong to the Musahar caste and are on the lower rungs of the economic ladder. They went through many trials and tribulations. Laali and her father have to support the family with little or no money. Laali was married as a child and had not yet had her gauna (the ritual in which a married woman leaves her parents and goes to live with her husband). A strong-man named Balli goes around her village, offering money in return for poor girls. He tries to buy Laali and eventually succeeds. He sells her to a rich zamindar, Thakur Loha Singh. Laali’s parents lied to her that she is being sent to her husband through a gaunaceremony.


ETERNAL LOVE
Eternal Love is a story about Sahiba, Ranveer and Daljeet mixed with romance, twists and love. Sahiba is in love with Ranveer from Childhood. Daljeet, who lives in the same village as Sahiba and Ranveer’s families, fell in love with Sahiba. Sahiba and Ranveer’s marriage is fixed, but Ranveer gets a sudden job offer in London and leaves. This story is about these three and how they fell in love with one another.


DESTINY
Destiny’ is a story of a family that depicts the mindset of most of the middle and upper class families of the society. It shows the psychology of individuals who still believe that society can be run and governed by men only. Suryakant Garodia is also one of these people. Suryakant Garodia is married to Savitri. They have four daughters: Saraswati, Durga, Gauri and Laxmi. Owing to medical problems, Savitri can’t have any more children. Suryakant wants a male child and decides to take a second wife. He gets married to Menaka, who gave birth to a son, Yuvraj. Suryakant pampers his son and neglects his daughters. He also pays Menaka more attention than Savitri.


BREAKING FREE
Breaking Free’ is a story of a young girl called Sugni who attempts to change the age old tradition, which the corrupt society will never let go off. She aspires to become a bride, desires to be a daughter-in-law, she wants to be a ‘one man’ woman instead of someone who belongs to all the men. In her journey Sugni will not only encounter the evil face of the man who becomes her ‘owner’ but she will also experience love with young Adityababu who in spite of belonging to a clan, showers her with respect and holds her in dignity.


SALONI.
Saat Phere is the story of 24-year-old Saloni (Rajshri Thakur) who is often criticised for her dark complexion. Saloni has to constantly fight to prove her point to her parents and in-laws, but at the same time family always come first for Saloni who is willing to sacrifice her interests for them. Saloni finds support in her businessman husband Nahar (Sharad Kelkar) who is very attached to his family. Tara (Ashlesha Sawant), Saloni’s sister-in-law is wicked by nature and takes pleasure in disturbing the peace. To add fuel to the fire, Saloni’s step-sister, Kalika (Aashka Goradia), marries into the same family to take revenge for her painful childhood. A dutiful daughter and an ideal daughter-in-law, Saloni now has another challenge in her life – to give her father Narpat Singh (Mohan Bhandari) his rightful place in the house.

Fear Files is based on real stories of people who have lived through paranormal experiences that defy explanation, this series contains re-enacted scenes, which are said to be real occurrences in India. With an aim to unravel the hidden myths, misunderstandings and fear associated with paranormal experiences; the series produced by the ZEE groups Essel Vision Productions, introduces paranormal experts who are incredibly gifted in their fields of expertise, and see what no one else can. Each episode  have the audiences in awe of the findings and methods taken to reach a horror-stricken conclusion.
