The Peoples Democratic Party, despite their presidential candidate conceding defeat as said they will be heading to court to challenge the result presented by The Independent National Electoral Commission, through its Chairman and Chief Returning Officer, Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Wednesday, 1st of April, 2015.
The party agent at the National Collation Centre in Abuja Bello Fadile made this known shortly after the winner was declared and refused to sign the result sheet saying the results will not be accepted by his party.
“Whether I sign it or I don’t sign it, does not make any difference. It doesn’t invalidate the result. When we go to court, then we can challenge the result,” Fadile said making it clear to journalists that it is the next thing on PDP’s agenda. It will be recalled that PDP has been ruling Nigeria for the past 16years before it got defeated this morning by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
