The speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, is finally set to declare his intention to join the Sokoto State governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Though some members of the House had purchased the APC presidential nomination forms for him, urging him to go for the highest office in the land,
a chieftain of the APC in Sokoto told LEADERSHIP that the stakeholders in the state preferred that the speaker contest the state’s governorship.
The party stalwart, disclosed that necessary plans had been put in place to enable Tambuwal declare for the Sokoto State governorship seat on the platform of the APC in the coming days.
