Youths drawn from all the 326 wards and 21 councils of Anambra state went in a peaceful demonstration at the PDP state headquarters. The atmosphere has remained tense daily at the Anambra state Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), since the news of the arrest and detention of Chief Olisa Metuh circulated.
The pictures here show members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth wing drawn from all the 326 wards and 21 councils of Anambra state in a peaceful demonstration at the party’s state headquarters in Awka on Thursday, Jan 7, 2016.
They carried placards critical of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government’s seeming systematic incarceration of key vocal Igbo sons under various guises, especially PDP spokesman, Chief Olisa Metuh and the IPOB’s Dr Nnamdi Kanu.
They threatened to continue the protests and sit-in daily until they are set free unconditionally.
