Armed policemen on Monday besieged the Ondo State secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) sequel to the dissolution of the party executive council at the wards, local government and state level by the National Working Committee.
On a visit to the secretariat located on the ever busy Oyemekun-Adesida Road, policemen were seen guarding the place.
There were no officials of the party seen in the premises as the door leading to the main entrance was under lock.
The dissolution of the party Executive Council in the state remained a major topic of discussion among various people of the state at various points, particularly in Akure, the state capital.
When asked about the situation, the Chairman of the dissolved executive, Hon Ebenezer Alabi said what journalists saw was the exact situation of the party in the state.
He lamented about what had become of their secretariat that they had been using over the years.
It will be recalled that Ondo State Governor,Olusegun Mimiko recently dumped the Labour Party for the PDP
