All is now set for the final inauguration of Dr Ayodele Fayose as the Governor of Ekiti State. The event which will take place at the main arena of the State township stadium will be witnessed by several dignitaries from within and outside the country.. The Federal government delegation to the event will be led by Vice President Namadi Sambo..An attempt to scuttle the inauguration by members of the opposition and a group known as E11 through the court was aborted.
CKN Nigeria can report that everything is calm all around the State. people are going about their business although there is watertight security within the State capital. As early as 6am today ,thousands of well dressed people were seen trooping to the stadium to witness the epoch event. The outgoing government led by Dr Kayode Fayemi yesterday held it's last State Executive Council's meeting. In a broadcast to the citizens of the State later in the day, the Governor thanked them for the opportunity given him to serve. He later lifted the curfew imposed on the State few days ago after the clashes that erupted between members of the PDP and APC in the State.
Interestingly Governor Ayodele Fayose was removed on 16th October 2006 and he is returning to office on 16th October 2014
