A good hospital with a high success rate for kidney transplant (Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre) has been located in Abuja Nigeria where the surgery will now be done. This will reduce the cost of the transplant as well as accompanying fees. Attached are quotations from the hospital.
Funmilola Oniyelu (nee Olasinde) is a 2004 graduate of Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Presently, she is in dire need of a kidney transplant to enable her live a healthy life. This was due to complications from a Caesarean Section she had during child birth at a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. She not only lost her baby, her kidney was also affected during the operation.
She has been on dialysis since June 2015 and has spent over 5 million naira (US$ 25,200) to save her life. She and her husband have sold everything they have including their properties and even their wedding rings in order to raise funds to keep her alive. She has also lost her job in the process.
She is presently on a weekly dialysis of 56,000 naira (US$ 285) while about US$ 45000 needs to be raised for the kidney transplant which will be done either in Germany or India.
Lola has children who desire that their mum is alive and well. Any donation towards her transplant and dialysis will be greatly appreciated.
