Buhari Gives Order to Reveal All Politicians With Questionable Assets in Dubai
Because some politicians have started denying, President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Nigerian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to investigate, document, and submit the full list of all Nigerian public officials with assets in the UAE.

Don’t auction government property – APC warns Governor Wada
The Kogi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday warned the state Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, against auctioning government property and award of phony contracts before leaving office on January 27.
In a statement made available to The Nation, the Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, said the state governor was trying to auction government property at ridiculous prices.

Clement Abanara, one of the suspected armed robbers that robbed several banks in Lagos and Ogun states, has confessed that he went into robbery to make money to maintain his ‘chieftaincy title.’
Abanara who was arrested last week is believed to be the mastermind of Ikorodu, Lekki, Festac and Agbara banks robbery.
It was recalls that Abanara, fondly called Millions and alleged leader of the robbery syndicate who disguises as a woman during operations, was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, last weekend, at his hideout in Osayande estate, in Benin, Edo state.
Current accounts holders to pay N1 on every N1,000 transaction – CBN
The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, in a bid to generate revenue for banks has introduced a maintenance fee of N1 on every current account transaction. This was contained in a circular signed by the Director of Financial Policy and Regulation of CBN, Kevin Amugo and addressed to commercial banks.
This comes few weeks after the central bank kicked off its Zero COT, commission on turnover, policy for all commercial banks within the country.

The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has distant itself from the plight of its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, saying the party will not provide sureties he needs to meet his bail conditions.

Branislav Ivanovic has signed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea, the struggling Premier League champions announced Friday. The Serbia defender’s existing contract with the London club was set to expire in a few months but the 31-year-old’s new deal is set to see him stay at Stamford Bridge until 2017.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, has explained why an officer of the State Security Service (SSS) cleaned the shoes of the minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, in public. PREMIUM TIMES had on Saturday exclusively published a 30-second video clip showing an armed security official cleaning Mr. Dambazau’s shoes at the NSCDC Academy in December.
Mr. Dambazau, who oversees the NSCDC, police, customs, immigration and prisons, came under severe criticism by Nigerians, following the release of the footage by this newspaper. But a statement by the spokesman of the NSCDC, Okeh Emmanuel, justified the action of the security personnel and absolved the minister of blame.

Nigeria News: RCCG Pastor Sent To Prison Over N100m Lekki Land Fraud
The last may not have been heard about the lingering N100m land fraud that rocked Lekki Re-settlement Schemes in Eti-Osa Local Government, Lagos State, western Nigeria. The latest is the arrest of Pastor Felix Olu Fadare of the Redeemed Christian church of God, RCCG, Fullers Field Parish in Ajah area of Lagos over his alleged involvement in the scam. The Edo State Police Command, said it invaded the hideout of suspected notorious gang of kidnappers that specialized in kidnapping little children and arrested them. The state Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Chris Ezike, who paraded the suspects, weekend, said his command had dealt a heavy blow on kidnappers and armed robbers in the state.

PDP national officers ask Metuh, Secondus, Mohammed to step down
It may still be a long walk to respite for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as deputy national officers and some members of the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, have called for the resignation of the acting national chairman, Uche Secondus, as well as that of the board of trustees, Haliru Mohammed.
