Baby Killed as Overzealous LASTMA Officer Causes Accident

A five-month-old baby has been reportedly killed and several others injured after an official of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority attempted to arrest a commercial bus driver for violating the traffic law around the Awoyokun end of Ikorodu Road.

The culprit was said to be among a team of traffic officials from the LASTMA’s Anthony office. It said that the bus driver picked up a passenger by the roadside and the officials began trailing the vehicle.

Meeting a new guy can be as exhilarating as it is daunting. For him to be bae, he has to meet the approval of your mates, your family and more importantly and first on the list- you! BUT for the intervention of Lagos State Govenor Akinwunmi Ambode, an artisan, Dahiru Lawal, would have paid dearly for breaking the car windscreen of an Air Force cadet.

The governor got him out of the trunk of the Chrysler Stratus car marked KRD 267DV where he was kept for the breaking the windscreen.

Cadets Peters Solomon and his colleague, Abdullahi Fahad, who claimed to be attached to the Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos had forced Lawal into the car trunk at Mile 12, after dragging him on the ground.

President Muhammadu Buhari last night justified the continued detention of former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) and leader of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

He said those who committed serious crimes against the country cannot be granted temporary freedom because they could jump bail.

Speaking during his maiden “Presidential Media Chat” on television, Buhari said the severity of the crimes allegedly committed does not permit granting them bail.

President Muhammadu has revealed that under the immediate past administration, the NNPC operated as much as 45 bank accounts while the Ministry of Defence had 70 different accounts.

Mr president said it was for this reason his government introduced the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Lagos Babe Electrocuted In Hotel Room With Her Boyfriend On Her Birthday

24yrs old Funke Balogun, a student of Yaba College of Technology, was allegedly electrocuted in a hotel bathroom owned by the mother of her boyfriend, Abolade Adetunji at 30, Balogun Street, Oshodi in Lagos on Sunday, Just two days after Christmas.

Funke who is a mother of one, was in a relationship with Abolade. According to Funmi, the younger sister of the deceased, Abolade came to pick her sister at their residence on Saturday around 11pm.

“Abolade was in a hurry that night and I told my sister not to go but she picked some of her things and left with him. On Sunday morning around 7, she called and said plans had changed that they were not going to the beach again but to a hotel and since then, we have been trying her mobile line.

Residents of Big Daddy Street in the Atinplome, Bagadry area of Lagos State on Tuesday stormed an uncompleted building in the area, which they suspected to be a ritual killer’s den, after a female victim raised the alarm.

It was learnt that at about 12am, while a carnival went on in the area, a woman in her late 20s, whose name had yet to be known, had run into the party with her throat partly cut, while blood was streaming out of her body.

Robbers Shoot Man, Son In Calabar (pictured)

A Calabar-based business magnate (name withheld) and his son have been shot in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, after an armed robbery operation in the victim’s resident that lasted for more than three hours.

The victims, who reside along the MCC Road in Calabar, were said to be recuperating from the gun wounds they sustained during the attack.

A close family source, Adah Igwe, disclosed that the man owned a filing station around the vicinity.

She told Southern City News on Friday that the robbers gained access to the building after they had succeeded in disarming the security guard.

Most of our ladies already know these things but choose to still ignore in the name of being hard to get or being "civilized ". 1. Respect : Every man craves for respect, especially from women. It has nothing to do with pride, its the way we are wired. If you find it hard as a lady to respect a man then you might as well forget about settling with a man and maybe try a fellow woman. Women thrive on love and attention, men thrive on respect. Even the Bible says it. When you respect and honor a man, there's nothing he cannot do for you. That is why women who seem respectful always attract men. Enough said on this.

I am amazed at the haughtiness and snobbishness of James Abiodun Faleke. The said man has become the political prostitute of Kogi State. Mr. Abiodun Faleke is the original 419 of Nigeria. He wants to be a house representative in Lagos at the same time wants to be a Governor of Kogi State. Indirectly Mr. Faleke wants to be a ghost worker either in Kogi State or in Lagos State.

If I am not mistaking Mr. Faleke contested in Lagos State of which he is currently a house of representative. During Buhari and Osibanjo election the said Faleke vowed to deliver Lagos for Buhari and Osibanjo. In the nutshell, it means Faleke has no heart in Kogi politics. How can the same person who was actively involved in the Lagos election and mobilizing the youths of Lagos now claimed that he has a heart in Kogi State.

The Federal Government has blamed former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for the hardship many Nigerians are going through with the increasing fuel scarcity situation.

The government said Jonathan had the blame because his government never made adequate provision for fuel subsidy in 2015 budget, yet they secretly paid subsidy to their cronies without any approval.

This was even as it explained that it inherited the vandalisation of the pipelines from the immediate past administration, thus making it impossible to even transport the fuel to the respective distribution points in the country.

I hope this guy won't become like 50 Cent tomorrow who is reducing the price of his mansion from as much as $18million to just $8million in a desperate bid to sell it. Mayweather shared the pic and wrote:

Kenyan Muslims shield Christians during an Islamic sect attack

A group of Kenyan Muslims travelling on a bus ambushed by Islamist gunmen, protected Christian passengers by refusing to be split into groups during an attack by Islamic sect members on their bus which was traveling from the capital Nairobi to the town of Mandera this morning.
